This Anti-Bribery Training programme has been designed to be used by anyone who could be exposed to bribery and/or corruption. It explains what bribery is and helps to increase understanding of situations where gifts and hospitality shouldn’t be offered or accepted.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Understand and show your commitment to the Bribery Act 2010
  • Understand the different types of bribery and what could happen if you fail to prevent bribery
  • Learn about the difference between a bribe and a gift, as well as the common indicators of a bribe

SECTION 1

In this section we look at the first three types of bribery covered by The Bribery Act 2010 – Bribing another personBeing bribed and Bribery of foreign public officials.

SECTION 2

This section looks at the fourth offence from The Bribery Act – Failure to prevent bribery. It also looks at the six principles, or guidelines, which organisations must follow to help prevent them from committing this offence.

SECTION 3

In this final section, we’re looking at the fine line between what might be considered to be a gift and what might be considered to be bribe. What can you offer, or be offered, without it being considered a bribe? We also look at common indicators that bribery may be taking place; suggesting why people might be involved in bribery, and explaining what should be done if bribery is suspected.

We would be grateful for your feedback! Please leave us a review and let us know what you think!
