DSE Training is a legal requirement for anyone who regularly uses display screen equipment. Our DSE Training helps you work towards compliance with The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 and helps DSE users avoid RSI, headaches, eyestrain and back problems; all of which are proven to contribute to absenteeism.
- Learn how to set up your workstation correctly and stop bad habits
- Learn how to use portable devices (included in DSE) correctly
- Prevent ‘DSE Stress’ and become more productive at work as a result of good DSE
In this section, we’ll look at how you can minimise the risks to your physical health when you use DSE. We’ll explain how you should set up your workstation and how to best use Display Screen Equipment, as well as how to maintain a good posture and why it’s so important.
In our second section, we’ll cover the visual problems that can be highlighted when you use DSE, and we’ll explain what you can do to help prevent them. We’ll explain how things should look on your computer screen, how to handle lighting and glare, and we’ll explain how you can prevent eye strain and headaches.
We’ve explained how sitting or standing in one position for too long can be harmful to your body, but it can also cause stress. So in this section, we’ll explain how important it is to take breaks and why changes in activity are crucial in reducing or preventing stress.
In this final section, we cover portable equipment, including laptops, tablets and phones, and we explain how you can prevent muscle and joint problems when you’re carrying them or using them on the move – this is especially important for remote or agile workers who may find themselves on the move more frequently.
