Our Severe Asthma Management in Primary Care course is a half-day programme designed for experienced Primary Care professionals involved in the identification, review, and ongoing shared care of people with severe asthma. The course focuses on recognising severe asthma, reducing risk, and working effectively with specialist services, including biologic pathways.
All courses are developed and delivered by experienced healthcare professionals with current or recent clinical experience in Primary Care and long-term condition management. Trainers are appropriately qualified and maintain up-to-date knowledge in line with national guidance. Course content and curriculum are subject to regular review to ensure they remain evidence based, aligned to national standards, and reflective of current best practice at the time of delivery.
It’s ideal for experienced Primary Care professionals, such as Practice Nurses, ANPs, GP trainees, and GPs, who are involved in the care of patients with ongoing poor control, frequent exacerbations, or suspected/confirmed severe asthma.
Yes, all participants receive a certificate of attendance and 3.5 CPD hours upon completion.
Yes, completion of a foundation and advanced or update-level asthma course—or equivalent clinical experience—is recommended, as this course builds on that foundation.
