The Foundations of Heart Failure course is a one-day programme designed to support Primary Care staff who are new to heart failure management. It provides a shared foundation in heart failure knowledge to support safe, effective, and role-appropriate practice within the multidisciplinary team.
All courses are developed and delivered by experienced healthcare professionals with current or recent clinical experience in Primary Care and long-term condition management. Trainers are appropriately qualified and maintain up-to-date knowledge in line with national guidance. Course content and curriculum are subject to regular review to ensure they remain evidence based, aligned to national standards, and reflective of current best practice at the time of delivery.
This course is designed for registered healthcare professionals, HCAs, and HCSWs who are new to heart failure care in a Primary Care setting.
This is a one-day course that provides 7 CPD hours. A certificate of attendance is issued upon completion.
This course is designed to provide foundational knowledge only. Any clinical activity must be carried out within your role, scope of practice, and organisational protocols, with appropriate supervision and support where required.
