Vitamin B12 Injection Video Assessment

This element will require you to submit a video demonstrating the correct technique for the following clinical skills:

1. Preparation
   • drawing up from the vial
   • preparing the B12 injection prior to administration ensuring that the correct needles are used throughout
2. Administration of an intramuscular injection – demonstration of the correct technique
3. Administration of a subcutaneous injection – demonstration of the correct technique

In order to demonstrate the clinical skills, you will require access to the following equipment:

• Syringes
• Blue & Green needles
• Sharps container
• Injection training pad or suitable training muscle
• Vaccine vials
