The Advanced Asthma Management in Primary Care course is a one-day programme designed for experienced healthcare professionals involved in the management of adults with complex or poorly controlled asthma. The course focuses on advanced assessment, treatment optimisation, and clinical decision-making to support safe, evidence-based asthma care within Primary Care and across shared-care pathways.
All courses are developed and delivered by experienced healthcare professionals with current or recent clinical experience in Primary Care and long-term condition management. Trainers are appropriately qualified and maintain up-to-date knowledge in line with national guidance. Course content and curriculum are subject to regular review to ensure they remain evidence based, aligned to national standards, and reflective of current best practice at the time of delivery.
Yes, you will be issued with a certificate on successful completion of the course.
Assessment by the instructor will be continuous throughout the course.
This course is aimed at experienced healthcare professionals involved in adult asthma care, including Practice Nurses, ANPs, GP trainees, GPs, and other clinicians managing complex or high-risk asthma in Primary Care.
It is recommended that participants have either completed the Foundations of Asthma course or have equivalent experience in Primary Care Asthma management before attending this course.
