This half-day workshop is tailored for Registered Healthcare Professionals (RHCPs) in primary care seeking to refresh and enhance their knowledge on the latest advancements in asthma diagnosis and management. Participants will engage with current guidelines, revisit evidence-based diagnostic and treatment pathways, and refine their skills in assessing and managing asthma patients within the primary care environment.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an ‘Asthma Update for RHCPs’ certificate, acknowledging their refreshed competencies in asthma care within primary care settings.

This course is based on guidance from NICE, BTS/SIGN, and GINA. It is designed as a refresher for RHCPs already trained in asthma care. You should only manage asthma independently when both you and your employer are confident that you are competent to do so.

Participants will review current guidelines, revisit evidence-based diagnostic and treatment pathways, and sharpen their skills in assessing and managing asthma patients.
Developed in line with current UK National Standards and Guidelines (including those in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) and guidance from the NHS, NICE and the British Thoracic Society/Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network [BTS/SIGN].
