Description
The ‘Assessment of the Child in Primary Care’ course delves into effective paediatric assessment. Covering common conditions, their signs and symptoms and age-specific considerations, participants will acquire essential skills in history-taking and physical examinations.
The course emphasises a systematic approach. Participants will learn essential skills such as respiratory, cardiovascular, abdominal, and neurological examinations to gain the foundational knowledge required for effective physical examinations. Interactive activities and practical case studies and exercises will be integrated to enhance practical assessment skills, critical thinking and proficiency in recognising and managing common paediatric presentations.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will earn a certificate in Assessment of the Child in Primary Care. This provides a pathway to gain clinical competence and practice under supervision through hands-on experience and mentorship in practice.
