This course is an optional add-on to the Vitamin B12 Deficiency course, providing a practical injection technique video assessment. Learners are required to submit a short video demonstrating Vitamin B12 injection technique, which is assessed by one of our clinical instructors. You will require additional equipment for this option which is not included with the product including: syringes, needles, injection training pad/arm or similar, vial from which to draw up and sharps bin for safe disposal.
This course focuses on practical competence assessment rather than theory and is intended for clinicians who have already completed underpinning training in Vitamin B12 deficiency and injection technique.

Yes, you will be issued with a certificate on successful completion of the course
This course will equip you with the knowledge and techniques required to administer Hydroxocobalamin safely. However, B12 injections are Prescription Only Medications (POMs), and you may only administer them when working under an appropriate legal framework—such as a PGD or PSD—and when both you and your employer are satisfied that you are competent. You must also have undertaken formal injection technique training. Supervised practice and competency assessment is essential before administering B12 injections independently.
Injection technique video assessment add-on option for Vitamin B12 Deficiency course. This option adds an additional practical assessment where you are required to submit a video which is assessed by one of our clinical instructors.
