Our Wound Care Management for Health Care Assistants (HCAs) course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for proficient wound care, integrating current evidence based research and current standards and guidelines with medico-legal considerations.
Participants will learn about the classification of wounds, wound care assessment and risk factors which can impact the healing of wounds. They will be able to develop their knowledge and understanding on appropriate wound care management techniques and dressing choices and when to escalate concerns. The course is designed to empower HCAs in order to effectively contribute and optimise outcomes in patient care.
