Course runs 9:15am – 4:30pm each day.
This comprehensive Palliative and End of Life Care course aims to provide primary care professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage the holistic needs of individuals facing death and support their loved ones. Through a series of core modules, participants will delve into key concepts such as the foundational principles of palliative care, communication strategies, symptom management, advance care planning, spirituality and ethical considerations. Participants will gain confidence in navigating the complexities of palliative and end-of-life care, fostering a holistic and patient-centred approach.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants earn a certificate in Key Concepts in Palliative and End of Life Care. This can provide a pathway to gain clinical competence and practice under supervision through hands-on experience and mentorship in practice.
