Description
This comprehensive course is tailored for practice nurses and healthcare professionals working in primary care, offering clinical skills in assessing and managing paediatric patients. With a focus on early recognition and evidence-based management, the course covers common minor childhood presentations and illnesses.
The course aims to enhance history-taking, communication, and diagnostic skills, developing competence in diagnosing and managing common childhood illnesses. Participants will also explore topics of health promotion, and consider legal and ethical considerations and paediatric patient management, including referral requirements for safe practice. Through interactive and engaging case studies and practical examples, participants will gain the knowledge and understanding required for a holistic approach to paediatric minor illness assessment and care.
