Our Foundations of Immunisation courses have been developed in line with the ‘National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners’ – Public Health England.

This training is suitable for School Nurses, Immunisation Nurses, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists and any Registered Healthcare Professionals administering vaccines.

Description

All clinicians administering vaccines should undertake foundation immunisation training. Our Foundations of Immunisation courses have been developed in line with the ‘National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners’ – Public Health England.

The initial ‘Foundations modules’ section of this interactive and engaging course includes all of the modules recommended in the National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners’ – (Public Health England) document. This will provide the practitioner with the knowledge and skills required for the day to day issues arising from running a vaccination service, followed by individual lessons on each of the vaccine preventable diseases and corresponding vaccines available to School aged children.

Please note that the the ‘National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners’ states that when the practitioner is new to immunisation a period of supervised practice in addition to comprehensive training is strongly recommended.
